A special process is required to import your car to Portugal as removal goods and have it exempted from customs, and this is not straightforward. Unfortunately, many people write on the internet that you only need to have owned the car for 6 months, then customs exemption would not be a problem. Far from it. There are many other requirements and you also have to be able to use two Portuguese online portals. That’s why I advise you to consult an expert in this case, who will take care of all these bureaucratic steps for you.
